On September 29, 2018, the National 973 Program “Supercapacitor-Based Large Capacity Energy Storage System and Application”, which was supported by Shanghai Jiaotong University as the supporting unit and Professor Ma Zifeng of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, was accepted at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The event center is held. Dr. Zhang Chen, the major project management office of the Basic Department of the Ministry of Science and Technology, attended the acceptance meeting. The acceptance expert group consists of Prof. Sun Yanping, Professor of National 973 Program Advisory Group, Lv Gongyu, and project experts Wen Zhaoyin, Professor Xia Yongyao, Professor Liu Haimei, Distinguished Expert Professor Wu Yuping, Researcher Tang Weiping, Professor Zheng Shiyou, Prof. Qi Longhua, and Researcher Yan Dianbo . Project expert Zhang Shoujiang academician sent representatives to participate. Zhu Xinyuan, executive vice president of the Research Institute of Shanghai Jiaotong University and dean of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Director Liu Ping of the Major Project Office, and responsible persons of various subjects and academic backbone members attended the acceptance meeting. The project was jointly completed by Shanghai Jiaotong University, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, East China University of Science and Technology, and Institute of Process Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. On behalf of the school, Zhu Xinyuan expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the leaders and experts at all levels for their support of the project, and said that the school will do a good job in project acceptance and financial acceptance according to the requirements of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
Professor Ma Zifeng from Shanghai Jiaotong University, Professor Zhang Xiaogang from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and Prof. Ling Licheng from East China University of Science and Technology, on behalf of their respective subjects, reported on the completion of the research work, important research progress, innovation and implementation effects. During the implementation of this project, a total of 218 high-level academic papers were published, 53 patents were applied, and 24 were authorized. The relevant research results won 1 second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award, 3 first prizes of provincial and ministerial level scientific and technological achievements, and 2 second prizes. The implementation of this project provides a new idea for supercapacitor-based hybrid energy storage systems in terms of renewable energy generation, access and smoothing power quality, and promotes the leading role of power batteries and supercapacitors. In terms of personnel training, 44 doctoral students, 9 post-doctors, and 70 postgraduates are trained. Four young backbones have won the Shanghai Science and Technology Kaixing Project.
After listening to the team leader and representative achievements, the members of the expert team carefully reviewed the acceptance data. After a secret ballot, all three subjects of the project passed the acceptance and all were excellent.
